ABOUT ME

I'm a nineteen-year-old photographer located in Aberdeen, South Dakota. I graduated from Aberdeen Central in 2023, and am currently pursuing my passion for graphic design at Northern State University. I'm majoring in Digital Media, with an emphasis on graphic design, in addition to a minor in Marketing.

MY STORY

If you know me well, you know that I LOVE to talk. Thus, my photography journey has quite a long backstory.

We’ll say it started when I was a child. My parents were always taking photos of us growing up (as one does for their children). My dad would record us at the park and during Halloween and so on. As I got older, I liked clicking the button and taking my little photos and documenting my little things. I brought my little camera on trips with us and captured those experiences. When I got my first phone, I took photos of all sorts of things—memories to look back on later. Much of my photography in this aspect has a nostalgia factor.

When I was a senior in high school, I figured I wanted to start getting back into photography. I hadn’t really done much besides what I took on my phone, and I thought “why not?” It was very timely, as my best friend had mentioned she was going to take her senior photos by herself, and told her I would take them for her. So we set off taking those photos, with me barely knowing how to properly use a camera. That was my first photoshoot. Since then, I’ve dragged my sister with to random places just to get in more photo practice.

My goal within my photography studio is to capture photos that YOU want to remember. If looking back on those few photos jogs a memory or a moment of that time in your life, I’ve done my job. I want to create photos that showcase what YOU are doing at this time.

I’m always open to trying out different kinds of photoshoots, and welcome and all ideas that you may have!!
